Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In May I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Last month I stole felessan's purse (-30 points). In July I pulled over and changed sehemu_wa_moto's flat tire (15 points). In October I gave darkmooncat32 a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). In June on a flight to Colorado Springs, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points).

Overall, I've been nice (321 points). For Christmas I deserve an XBox 360!

Here's a recipe for a simple one-serving chocolate cake that you can make in only 5 minutes!

Ingredients:

4 Tbsp. cake flour (you can substitute all-purpose flour if you don't have cake flour, but it turns out better with cake flour)
4 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
3 Tbsp. milk
3 Tbsp. oil

You'll also need a coffee mug and a microwave.

Step 1: Mix flour, sugar and cocoa in the coffee mug.
Step 2: Mix in the egg.
Step 3: Add milk and oil, mix well.
Step 4: Put the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 3 minutes.
Step 5: Wait until the cake stops rising out of the mug, then remove from the microwave.
Step 6: You can either eat the cake right out of the mug or put it on a plate and eat it <3

Serenity has had a cold for the last week. She is cold to the touch, puffed out, her eyes and nose are running,and has raging diarrhea.

Went to see traitor last night. It was really good a little heavier then what I was in the mood for but really good. I had fun just being able to go out with my guy.

Kind bummed at myself because I forgot about class last night... I swear I am such a ditz.

I am also bummed because of all the recent drama with my family. My sister is pissed at me, my dad is mad at me, actual I think my mom is the only one who isn't mad at my, which is the real shocker... and they wonder why I don't get involved in their lives anymore.

All the drama has brought back my stomach issues so I am sure it is IBS. And I haven't had real food to eat all this week so lots of fun there.

So NDK was a blast as always.

I ran around dressed as Rebbecca Chambers from resident evil zero. I had many people complement me on my awesome costume ask for my picture and then ask me who I was dressed as. LOL I am glad that people thought I did an awesome job on my costume.

I also did a Gothic Lolita, I LOVE this outfit. I might change the head piece around a bit and then it is perfect to go. Dang it now I need more people to go do Lolita things with.

This year I also volunteered I think for 12 hour or it was 11 and something hours, anyway I had a blast doing that. I worked the elevator for most of it which was fun. The staff really notices the work you do and shows their appreciation which makes it worth while! I also had several people take my picture and glomp me because I was such an "awesome elevator girl" LOL it totally made up for the grumpy people that kept cussing me out. ^_^ I don't know if I would want to be on staff next year or not. I kind of had fun deciding when and where I would work but I would also like to get a bit more if I do more hours. Meh either way next year I will probable work at least 16 hour and get the free badge so it all works out.

I am with Plants right now in the fact that I want to go back, I am already looking at my costume for next year and I have dangerous thoughts for a skit to enter in the cosplay contest... BWA HA HA HA HA HA *cough* *cough* *ahhh choooooo!*

Oh by the way did I mention that I over did it and now have a cold...

Today I am going to talk to you about my trip to California. This spring I went to Mendicino California to study herbalism on an organic farm. I am going to tell you why I went, some information about the program I was in and my experience there. So lets talk about why I went to California.

I have always been interested in herbalism. I have attened a few lectures and read a few books but no serious studies. When I dropped out of college I felt more then a bit lost and unhappy with my life. Deciding since I had already earned the title the "bad kid" with my parents I said what the heck and drove out to California get a more serious education in herbalism. I joked to everyone that I was off to be a hippy.

The program I signed on with was called WOOFERS Willing Workers On Organic Farms. It is an international volunteer/ work study program. Woofers takes people from all walks of life and alows you to live and work on an organic farm. Many of woofers are interested in sustainable agriculture, renewable recourses and the environment. I wasn't surprised that I found a farm with a master herbalist who was teaching classes, I was surprised that my earlier joke that I was off to be a hippy was a bit close to the mark.

Turns out the master herbalist was fresh off the commune. Not to mention the whole caring for the environment meant cutting out a few wasteful activities, like showering everyday turned to every 5 days. It was a little closer to nature then I had planned on. But I bit my tounge and jumped in. I stayed with Mary Pat the master herbalist for a month and had a blast. I learned so much about the environment and herbalism. More importantly I learned that sometimes you need to just set your eyes on a goal and do it, no stopping, no quiting just doing it.

I had an amazing time on the farm. I got to do many things where growing up in the city I just read about. I feel like my time out there taught me how to focus and really made me resolve to accomplish more with my life. Woofers is a great program that allows people to learn more about agriculture and themselves. I left for California because I felt lost. I didn't find myself out there, I found my backbone.

So went to the doc today to see what is up with my stomach.

She was nice after we wrestled through my insurance info... which was complicated by the fact that my phone has been MIA since Monday night.

then she looked me over said did the poke poke thing asking if it hurts (HELL YES!!!) Gave me some anti acid stuff and sent me off for lab work...

The lab place couldn't do all the stuff I needed so I had to go to the hospital.
Wrestle with insurance again

Go to lab go back to registration go to lab go to registration... got nifty bracelet (Look mom now I am a REAL number!)

Go to lab (again) and this time I got to get my blood taken!
Saw lots of pretty sparkles and had to lay down for a while but on the plus side I got JUICE!!! yummy juice.

Went to radiology (Wow I didn't have to got to registration again) Got nekid and thrown in one of those sacks of wonder. Got my picture taken...

Went to scheduling and had to make an appointment for an ultra sound. I was super excited because they said I didn't have to go to registration! then I got all sad since the mentioned I would have to go by there on Monday...

And now I am dizzy and weird feeling and I still can't find my damn phone...

life update

So lets see here quick update on life...

Dfest was AMAZING! I had such a blast the best part was it rained non-stop. Because of the rain we had to hid in the tent most of the time and just sleep or read. Which was awesome for us after some of us were sick and others had been moving and all together very tired.

There were also drum circles every night but the first one. So we went and got our grove on. Siren and I got complemented on our telepathic powers again, only in our group would people assume that it was supernatural before logical. lol

I am also completely moved in WHOOT! Not unpacked mind you but moved in.

The rock had his birthday party/ housewarming party this weekend. It was a ton of random pagan drunken funness and geeky stupidity. Whoot! I had to bail out early 'cause of my stupid stomach thingie.

But on the bright side I have health insurance again so I can go visit a doctor! Now I just have to find one that I like... damn this is going to take a while.
